PRESENTATION AND TECHNICAL REPORT WRITING SKILLS
Recognizing the crucial role employee development plays in organizational growth, The Capital Group Limited organized a corporate training workshop titled “Presentation and Technical Report Writing Skills” for AECI Mining staff. This two-day program, conducted in two batches from June 11th to 14th, 2024, brought together 32 participants and was facilitated by Mr. Samuel L. Adetola. The training aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of report writing principles, presentation techniques, and handling challenging communication scenarios. The initiative exemplified TCGL’s ongoing commitment to continuous learning and capacity building within technical and professional settings.
Post-training evaluations showed overwhelmingly positive feedback across several dimensions. Most participants rated the overall workshop, facilitator effectiveness, and course content between “Very Good” and “Excellent.” The facilitator received high marks for professionalism, content delivery, and ability to encourage participation. Similarly, the course was praised for its relevance, structured flow, and practical value. A significant portion of attendees highlighted the presentation skills and report writing segments as the most beneficial.
Participants expressed gratitude for the insightful and confidence-boosting experience, noting improvements in their ability to write structured reports and deliver impactful presentations. Suggestions for future training included topics such as conflict management, financial reporting, and PowerPoint skills. Overall, this case study demonstrates how targeted training interventions, when well-executed and strategically aligned, can enhance workforce performance and morale, thereby reinforcing the value of employee development in achieving business objectives.
